Our History
AGL Activ Services was founded in the spring of 2015 in Hannover, in a small rented office just three blocks away from our current Georgstraße address. The founder, Klaus Brenner, had spent over a decade watching friends, relatives, and local business owners struggle with confusing financial products and pushy sales tactics. He saw no independent, product-free advisory option for people who simply wanted to organize what they already had. With a single computer, a landline phone, and a small savings buffer, he opened the doors under the name AGL Activ Services — chosen to reflect activity, structure, and neutrality.
The first two years were modest. Most clients came through word of mouth: a bakery owner who needed help sorting out mixed personal and business accounts, a retired teacher who wanted a simple overview of her assets without being sold a pension product. Klaus charged by the hour, wrote every report himself, and met clients in local cafés when the office felt too formal. He made a point of never accepting a commission, referral fee, or any other hidden payment. That rule became the company’s unofficial constitution: “If it’s not on the invoice, it’s not our income.”
By 2018, demand had outgrown one person. Mira Demir joined as the first hire, bringing experience in legal administration and client coordination. Shortly after, Jens Hollweg came on board to handle complex structuring cases. The team moved to the current Georgstraße 42 office, which offered enough space for private client meetings and a small document archive. Growth remained organic — no outside funding, no aggressive marketing campaigns. Every new client was a referral from an existing one. That pattern told the team they were doing something right.
Today, AGL Activ Services serves clients across Germany, from Hamburg to Munich. We have kept our original principles intact: fixed or capped fees, no product sales, plain language reporting, and a focus on structure over speculation. Our team has grown carefully, adding analysts and coordinators who share the same philosophy. But the core remains unchanged from 2015: we help people see their own assets clearly and act on that clarity with confidence. The office on Georgstraße still has a small table in the corner — a reminder of those first café meetings and the simple honesty that built everything since.
